The chapel remains the last building to complete the Children’s Camp we believe God brought us to Goshen to establish back in 1975. GREAT NEWS! We're using the new Chapel in 2007! The Upper Floor of the new Chapel and Recreation Building was ordered and arrived on March 1, 2005! Finally after 7 years of praying and waiting for the money to come in, on July 8th 2004, we received the final amount to make it possible to order the Upper Floor of our new building! You can imagine how excited we were! Due to our wait and due to the company's increased business, by the time we ordered, the soonest we could receive our package deal was the second week of January, right in the midst of our snow season usually. Rather than take the chance of bad weather, we chose to receive the building in early March, in order to put it together March 7-17, 2005. With the one man who came with the package and who knew how to put it all together, we needed 2 carpenters, and 6-8 strong men, to help put the building up piece by piece. Once again, camp friends volunteered their time, and the outer shell of the chapel took shape! It came in large pre-built pieces which turned into our new Chapel when they were all put together correctly. Are we excited, or what?!! The construction of the chapel has completed to the point of allowing us to use the main auditorium for chapel services this summer, and is a very thrilling time in the life of Grace Bible Camp. However, there are still many items that need to be completed on the lower floor in the recreation area, as well as other amenities such as white boards, projectors, and other necessary items to make the facility fully usable, as well as trim, flooring, painting, and electrical wiring. We estimate needing $20,000 in additional funding to see this project take full shape and make the chapel fully functional for campers and other groups that use our facilities year round.
