Chapel Construction

God Can Do Anything But Fail!!

Grace Bible Camp, Goshen VA

Chapel Fund as of 1/1/08 is $414,729.50.  Thank you for your support !!

On September 12, 2002, we finally got the permit to begin the new Chapel and Recreational building! On July 10, 2004, we received the remainder of the money we need to order the upper floor of the New Chapel. Praise to God! The pieces that would make up the outer shell of the chapel  traveled by trucks all the way from Oregon and arrived at the camp March 1, 2005. The outer shell was assembled March 7-10, 2005.

We still need so much to complete the project—both finances and volunteer help. Consider electrical, HVAC, lighting, sound, audio-visual, carpet, chairs, landscaping as just a few areas. Thank you for your support in helping this vision become a reality. Please continue to pray with us to see this project through it its completion.

A reminder regarding the need for such a building and its benefits to our overall program. In the summer, it will give us a larger meeting room with the latest in sound and lighting and audio-visual equipment, and will give us more room on Saturdays when parents and others come to the closing awards program for each camp week. It will give us more smaller meeting rooms for Bible classes and other indoor activities that are a part of our regular camp program. It will also give us great indoor space for activities on “rainy days”.

Throughout the year, the new building will provide additional meeting rooms for weekends and other times we have multiple small retreat groups—places they can meet and enjoy activities without the interruptions of other groups.

We have never had an actual or permanent chapel, and this is the final building to complete the children’s camp we started here when we moved to Goshen in 1975. Besides being a truly beautiful building, it will also be a most functional building with several rooms designed to be rearranged and used for more than one purpose.

Though we will have to hire some of the work on the building to be done, there will still be a great need for voluntary help, which we have always depended upon.

We need it—it will be a great visual addition to our facilities—it will be a most useful addition to our outreach and service to others.

Thank you so much for your support.
