Apple Butter Makin’ — we have made as much as 150 gallons—in copper kettles the old fashioned way—stirring, stirring, stirring, adding just the right spices—just right amount of sugar—at just the right time. Cider Squeezin’ — chopping and pressing apples in an old-time cider press and serving fresh apple cider on the spot— there’s nothing like it!
Regular camp activities (ping pong, hikes, campfire, minibikes, minigolf, frisbee golf, etc.) Special activities for the children. Challenging times on the Challenge Course! Big Hayride in the mountains to see the colorful leaves!
Special Speaker!
Counselors from Summer—to lead children and youth meetings!
Special Performance Saturday after Supper Something for all ages!
Deadline to Register: October 12 (mail) or 15 (phone)
Please Read the Fine Print > > > This special weekend will be a great time to enjoy the colors of the Fall, great Christian fellowship, and to just get away. Children and youth must come with some adult (preferably parent) who will be responsible for them throughout the weekend since this weekend is not designed to be like summer camp—there are no cabin counselors. So that we can make plans, please make reservations by the deadline. Please plan early!
“The Great Fall Get-Away”
Hey—would you like to help make Apple Butter this year—the old fashioned way? Come join us and learn the details behind producing the mouth-watering, GBC Apple Butter. We get started the Wednesday morning before Fall Retreat, and continue through Thursday afternoon. We need help peeling (with mechanical peelers), coring and quartering (your hands and a knife), washing, cooking, stirring, and canning. You’ll enjoy great fellowship along with all of the work, and the satisfaction of helping Grace Bible Camp continue it’s ministry of reaching boys and girls for Jesus Christ. If you’re interested, please call the camp for more details. We’d love to have you!
